Free Rail trips down line to Royal Portbury Docks

On Saturday 29 September 2012 First Great Western ran a special charter train giving free rail trips to mark the annual Community Rail Festival. There were several trips by railcar running partly on lines not normally used for passenger traffic: some around the Henbury loop joining the Severn Beach line and returning to Temple Meads, and some down the Portishead branch to Royal Portbury Docks. These trips traversed much of the proposed Bristol Metro network.
